Here’s A New Word, An Idea, and A Question.
A New Word
This is where I share a word that really should exist, one that should be in the dictionary.
Derson
A dog who thinks he is human. This is the very best of dogs.
'Rocket was a derson who knew what he wanted. We always knew what he was thinking because you could see it in his eyes.'
An Idea
“Animals have come to mean so much in our lives. We live in a fragmented and disconnected culture. Politics are ugly, religion is struggling, technology is stressful, and the economy is unfortunate. What’s one thing that we have in our lives that we can depend on? A dog or a cat loving us unconditionally, every day, very faithfully.” Jon Katz
A Question
What if having a dog (or any pet) can improve your life?
True friendship and loyalty are life-changing experiences.
If you struggle with making and keeping friends, you’ll understand how draining it can be over time. Repeated relationship failures can take a toll and make you reluctant to try.
Most dogs are open to meeting new people. They tend to approach strangers with curiosity. I know my dog loves meeting new people and that has helped me.
He approaches strangers with curiosity. He gives everyone a chance, teaching me a valuable lesson — to do the same.
Patience, tolerance, curiosity, boundaries, true friendship, and companionship are recurring themes in my life now. While I know my dog won’t be with me forever, the love we share makes every moment together important.

A Derson — I love it!
I know some "dersons"- some of my fictional characters are such beings.
