Those that drift are never faced
with other than their field of fate.
While some consider carefully
the steps they choose to make a change.
Yet sometimes chance decides for us
to force a pivot on our path.
Some players sit and meditate
to ease their mental wobbling.
They call their muse to hedge their dime
and cover all to find the steam.
And when they teeter on the edge
their indecision nets a moose.
But when the handle goes your way
you’re duty-bound to switch the bait
to hook the square that passes by
afloat within the changing wind.
You find a whale to pay the man
he takes the bean and goes all in.
In retrospect a double down
can beat the stakes of jeopardy.
You weigh your options carefully
while shuffled shoes decide your card.
You tilt the wheel and push the shark
then float your winnings to the bank.
In sports gambling, a moose is a poker bet that has gone horribly wrong even though everything was going as planned.
