The stories are based on our experiences as newbie landlords and every tenant is real, just slightly changed to protect their identity 😁 people are endlessly surprising. and the antics!!! Can't make this stuff up!
We've had a guy dig a hole in our basement to create an actual man cave, a guy who wrote a threatening letter towards us, SIGNED it and posted it in the laundry room, a drive through drug dealer, lol.
I write them in short stories because it would be too much to absorb all at once.
Omg no way! If this is becoming a series I can't wait to hear them all 😁 I've been a renter all my life and have some doozie stories about landlords as well. It takes all kinds! Looking forward to more of yours!

I'd love love to hear your landlord stories. We were suckers for a good excuse. Were taken advantage of quite a few times until we figured out to be more hardass about it.
I have some other stories that I'm trying to put together as a book. Like a bunch of love stories like Love Boat? Or a murder mystery? Trying to sort out how to put a collection together in a meaningful way.

My wheels are turning now lol. Maybe I'll publish a landlord piece on Medium soon. It doesn't really fit with my Substack theme.
