It began with a crazy idea where a group of writers decided to create words that didn’t exist.
It was a fun experiment and we spent a lot of time coming up with great made-up words, like Perplexium and Vulnerebels.
When it ended, as all things eventually do, I realized it was the most fun I’d had in a writing community for a very long time.
That’s when I realized I wanted to do it again, so… Words In Motion was born!
It’s a crazy world; we need to create spaces that help us stick together.
Let’s build genuine, heartfelt friendships in this imaginary world of light and screens. Let’s change each other through our interactions.
Let’s let go of expectations and open up to curiosity. Let’s live in the moment.
Let’s set aside comparison and its harsh companion of judgment. Instead, we can use our words to gently coax the favor of connection and inclusion, the love partners who heal.
Writing takes time and good writing takes even more time. So I’ve been focusing on getting into a routine. Sometimes it happens, and sometimes I fall off the rails.
That’s okay with me.
Big wins don’t happen unless the small ones happen first. Also, sometimes writing is set aside because you need to spend time with friends or family.
Come join us when you can. We’ll be here when you need us.

Life is a series of lessons, and I’ve learned my share.
I have a background in finance, have invested in stocks, flipped real estate, built multiple streams of income, retired early, and now I’m into crypto.
I’ve been hired and head-hunted, fired, and quit jobs for various reasons.
I’ve been the boss of other people and am still learning how to be the boss of me.
I lived on my own at 16, learning lessons you can only learn on the street.
I’ve married and divorced several times, each one was a major lesson in choosing a life partner. The last one was my best choice by far.
I’ve raised four amazing people who have figured out the adulting stuff, despite my helicopter hovering.
Along the way, I learned to live in the moment, let go of the past, and stop projecting into the future.
Now I write about it all.
I invite you to join me here.

Hey there, I’m Tree. I live on a big island off the west coast of Canada. My small triumph today is that I finished this blog post in the middle of a snowstorm of epic proportions.
In other news, I‘ve finally figured out how to restring my ukulele, so I can make some time for tunes! Hooray!
I am glad to have kept up with you on various platforms, still learning how to navigate this one to its fullest potential.
Is this a hero post, Tree? If not, you should pin it for a while. It's very good at explaining exactly what to expect here.
